The hand rings are mini works of art made of wood.
I usually use branch tips from the trunk and work them into a ring that you can move between your fingers.
There is a wide variety of wood types, but I generally use local woods with a special grain.
I call the hand-sized rings and larger ones rings of life. They embody a cyclical idea of individual life, from the unknown place from which we come to the unknown place to which we go. Without a beginning and without an end, so to speak.
The small hand rings are not only intended to be beautiful, they also have a practical aspect: they help to balance out stressful times and calm the mind.
They are hand flatterers in the best sense of the word.
